Morons In The Media Are Already Trying To Divide AJ Brown And DeVonta Smith

Jul 22, 2023Jul 22, 2023

If there's one group of people who truly seem to hate sports more than anybody else out there, it's sports journalists. These nerds make it their daily mission to go out and destroy the teams that they cover. It makes sense, to a degree. The more chaos and havoc going on within an organization, the more they have to write about. Nobody wants to read the same old story over and over again about how much teammates like each other and how smoothly the organization runs. You need drama. And if there's no drama naturally present within the locker room, these dumbasses take it upon themselves to throw some in there.

Which brings us to whatever idiot decided to ask AJ Brown about Eagles fans picking sides between "Team AJ" and "Team DeVonta", despite the fact that there's not a single Eagles fan in the world who has ever once had that debate.

What are we even doing here? And people wonder why traditional media is dying at an alarming rate.

The Philadelphia Eagles are fortunate enough to have two WR1's. I guess the old saying is that if you have two WR1's, then you actually don't have one. But the Eagles are the exception here. Last year DeVonta Smith set an Eagles franchise record for most receptions in a season with 95. Last year AJ Brown set an Eagles franchise record for most receiving yards in a season with 1,496. It was the first time the Eagles ever had two receivers both have over 1,000 yards receiving in the same season.

Life is so good for the Eagles right now. This is the best receiving duo this organization has ever seen before, and now we have a bunch of knobs out there trying to tear them apart. There may not have been malicious intent behind that question, but that might honestly be worse. I'd almost rather whoever asked this question try to purposefully tear the Eagles locker room apart than just being a clueless dipshit.

I've said this before and I'll say it again--we need to start treating journalists like athletes. If you ask a shitty, stupid question during a press conference, you need to get benched. You don't get to ask a question at the next one. If you make a habit out of asking dog shit questions, then your ass is off to the minor leagues. We can't just keep letting any clown with a press pass get a chance to open their mouth at these things.
