A three-bedroom, four-bathroom penthouse occupying half of the 25th floor at Sixty Colborne, a luxury condo building that towers over King and Church. It comes with two parking spots, a locker and 800 square feet of terrace. With a stunning view of downtown’s east end, residents are within walking distance of St. Lawrence Market, Berczy Park’s famous dog fountain, the Financial District and Union Station.

Completed in 2017, Sixty Colborne is the brainchild of Toronto architect Peter Clewes, known for designing the Thompson Hotel (now 1 Hotel Toronto) and Pier 27. The complex remains one of the city’s most expensive real estate properties per square foot. This penthouse has only ever had one owner, and realtor Kimberly Phinney says the place has drawn interest from professional athletes and high-earning businesspeople thanks to its size and location.

Sixty Colborne is known for its angled façade.

Tenancy comes with a range of amenities, like this 24-hour concierge in the swanky lobby as well as an exercise room and a rooftop pool.

Now the actual unit: its wide foyer gives way to an open-concept space flooded with natural light.

That partition wall in the background separates the grand room from the kitchen and dining area.

Here’s the space beyond the partition. There are floor-to-ceiling windows and hardwood flooring throughout the unit.

The dining room faces southeast—perfect for taking in the sunrise at breakfast and watching boats pass through the harbour.

This is the four-seat kitchen island, adorned with a waterfall quartz countertop.

Behind the island is a wall-to-wall kitchen equipped with a stainless steel oven, an electric Bosch cooktop and a huge panelled refrigerator from KitchenAid.

The main bedroom faces north, with views of St. James Cathedral and the ever-growing skyline. It comes with an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet.

Here’s that walk-in closet, loaded with built-in storage.

The main ensuite has a double vanity with flat-panelled doors, chrome fixtures and a porcelain-tiled shower with a rainfall head.

The other bedrooms also have their own bathrooms and balconies.

This bedroom’s walk-in closet is the size of a studio apartment in other complexes.

Here’s one of the matching guest bathrooms.

Night views from the penthouse’s 800-square-foot terrace are a real treat.
